About 10 of us turned to for a litter pick on the Turners field site today. This was also an opportunity to find out from passers by what they thought should be done with the site. Agreement for the idea of growing food from both young and old, an outdoor gym, a site for bike-scrambling all came forwards.

We concentrated on the path adjoining the schools, partly as the litter  blows in from careless users on that side, and partly as the most people to chat to were using the path.

After about 2 hours litterpicking, we had about 8 bags of rubbish (much of it plastic), plus three bags of recyclable plastic bottles and cans. (Oh, and a few bits of twisted metal).
