Our mission is simple – to provide a community crafting hub that facilitates the re-use of scrap materials. We want to help the Dorset community to use scrap resources for creative purposes, and we know that’s possible from all the amazing makes our customers have created over the years! We love inspiring imaginations and saving money, by providing individuals, schools, clubs, students & families with access to affordable recycled craft making materials. Dorset Scrapstore is a not for profit charity which relies on donations, grant funding and the efforts of a team of dedicated volunteers in order to exist. Money from the sale of materials is put back into our operating costs, such as shop rent, salaries of our part-time employees, and the cost of running our van.
We are a small charity and we run community recycling projects across Bournemouth and Poole. We are unique in that apart from the local Council’s for Voluntary Service, we are the only charity supporting many other voluntary sector organisations.
We are a not-for-profit furniture re-use project offering electrical and household goods donated from local people & businesses to the general public with additional discounts available for households on low incomes.
