Coffee, Cakes and Candy Cafe, 34 High Street Poole

Facilitated by Brendan and Jamie

Theme : Practical projects for 2010 – ideas to B&J if you want a project to go forwards.

We all met, many of us cycling down on a cold winters evening for the

first time in Poole town centre high street coffee shop and enjoyed
some local ‘Piddle brewery’ beers, teas and coffees with comfortable
seating upstairs.

Jamie handed out printouts containing keywords to start people
thinking about the following:

Feelings when you are satisfied/not satisfied along with Needs/Values/
Desires (connection, physical well-being, honesty, play, peace,
meaning and autonomy) which was discussed in pairs for 10 minutes.
Then we made two groups of five to discuss, and finally the whole room
to summarise their feelings.

We covered a wide range of topics such as community connections, air
being a resource, time, regulations limiting personal choice and
independence, consumers being and feeling far removed from the source
and people providing a large number goods and services in recent
times.
